Puma introduces their brand new eco friendly packaging. They scrapped the traditional boxed design and developed new packaging that claims to use 65% less paper than boxes. Puma dubbed their creation as the Clever Little Bag and it is clever indeed. Puma predicts to save 8,500 tons of paper, one million liters of water, 20 million mega joules of electricity each year! Puma will do this by ditching the shoebox and place footwear in cardboard frames wrapped in reusable bags. Their goal is to reduce their own carbon paw print and one day change the way the industry packages their products. Check out their video here!

This California based designer is dedicated to making experimental connections between form and function. We love the sculptural elegance of Josh Jakus’ work as he focuses his creative work on sustainable design. Items like the Felt Cut Coasters, Felt Media Pocket, and Felt Eggflats were made with industrial wool felt from factory excess and mixed fibers. Josh Jakus’ product line is designed for efficient manufacturing with the goal of achieving the highest yield from standard units of raw material, by doing so, this reduces the energy consuming machine time. To take a better look at the sophistication and functionality of Josh Jakus’ work, visit Olive & Myrtle online boutique.

Olive & Myrtle is excited to announce it’s partnership with San Francisco based Lab Partners in creating an exclusive line of recycled cotton tote bag designs. The goal was simple: create unique tote bag artwork based on the designers’ perspective on sustainability and their personal inspirations. “For us, working with Olive & Myrtle was a great opportunity to design imagery that promotes healthy eating, sustainable farming, natural energy and being outside and enjoying all nature has to offer.” said Ryan Meis, Co-Founder of Lab Partners. Lab Partners created three colorful, quirky designs that will be sure to stand out at the farmers markets and grocery stores. The recycled tote bag designs include Fruits & Veggies, Sunburst, and Watering Bee. All Olive & Myrtle recycled cotton tote bags can be seen here.
